Bowers ORDINANCE NO. 10417 AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING PART OF INTERNATIONAL DRIVE AND PART OF A CUL-DE-SAC LOCATED NORTHWEST OF CHAPMAN ROAD, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN. _______________________ SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby closed and abandoned part of International Drive and part of a cul-de-sac located northwest of Chapman Road, more particularly described herein, and as shown on plat attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference: A cul-de-sac having a radius of 60 feet, and beginning on the northeast line of International Drive some 2076.59 feet northwest of the intersection of the northeast line of International Drive with the northwest line of Chapman Road, thence northeast, north, and northwest some 158.18 feet around said cul-de-sac to the northeast line of International Drive (if extended northwestwardly), thence southeast some 118 feet with said line extended to the point of beginning. Said cul-de-sac being shown on the Corrective Plat, Resubdivision of Lots 3, 4, and 5, Chapman Subdivision, as shown by plat of record in plat book 43, page 120, ROHC. Tax Map No. 138J-A-3.4 and 3.5. Part of International Drive, a right-of-way varying in width from 50 feet to 70 feet, and part of a cul-de-sac, having a radius of 60 feet. Said part of street and part of cul-de-sac begins on the northeast line of International Drive some 1919.67 feet northwest of the intersection of the northeast line of International Drive with the northwest line of Chapman Road, thence northwest some 139.36 feet with the northeast line of International Drive to a point in the cul-de-sac at the northwest end of said street as shown on the plat of the Resubdivision of Lots 5 and 6, and Dedication of International Drive, Chapman Subdivision, as recorded in plat book 43, page 50, ROHC, thence northeast and northwest around said cul-de-sac some 115.75 feet to the east line of the cul-de-sac at the northwest end of International Drive as shown on the Corrective Plat, Resubdivision of Lots 3, 4, and 5, Chapman Subdivision, as recorded in plat book 43, page 120, ROHC (said cul-de-sac to be abandoned by case no. 1995-306), thence southwest some 71.5 feet around the last referred cul-de-sac to the northeast line of International Drive, thence northwest some 116 feet with International Drive to the northwest line of the existing cul-de-sac (having a radius of 60 feet) as shown on said Corrective Plat, thence southwest 19.13 feet around said cul-de-sac to the northeast line of International Drive as dedicated on the Final Plat, Chapman Subdivision, as recorded in plat book 54, page 111, ROHC, thence southeast 295.91 feet with the northeast line of the new right-of-way of said street to the northeast line of the old right-of-way of said street, the point of beginning. Tax Map No. 138J-A-3.4 and 3.5. SECTION 2. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as provided by law.
